With over 35 years dedicated to H-E-B, Joe Don Zetzsche, the Vice President of BLOOMS Floral Marketing, boasts an impressive career trajectory, marked by significant contributions to the company. Starting as a checker, he progressed through various roles, spending a decade in store operations, followed by stints as a Produce Buyer and a regional leader. However, it’s his remarkable sixteen-year tenure leading the floral business that truly distinguishes him. Zetzsche’s educational background includes a BBA from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Abilene Christian University. Beyond his corporate endeavors, Zetzsche is deeply engaged in industry volunteer work, having served as a former member and chair of both the PMA Floral Council and the PMA Board of Directors. Notably, he was the first and only Chair of the Board from the floral industry for the PMA. Zetzsche also played a pivotal role in the merger of the PMA with United, serving as a member of the “Integration team” and currently sits on the IFPA executive floral industry committee. His exceptional contributions to the floral industry were recognized with the PMA Floral Marketer of the Year award in 2013.
